Brief

RZSS and its two parks - Edinburgh Zoo and Highland Wildlife Park - are all about protecting, valuing and loving nature. The team needed help to imbue the brand with fun and adventure, while promoting its message of conservation.

They asked us for a complete brand overhaul. It needed flexibility, so it could easily translate to print and digital ads, signs and displays in their parks and even full-bus wraps.

Spoiler alert: we delivered.

Our approach

Working closely with the RZSS marketing team, we designed a powerful brand look and feel featuring bold colours, striking patterns and compelling animal imagery. We provided a toolkit of punchy colour pairings, playful typography and organic shapes, plus a suite of assets and templates to allow the team to roll out new assets at a moment’s notice.

RZSS now has a distinctive brand that brings consistency and playfulness to all its communications, which also helps to hold attention while educating visitors. We regularly support RZSS with campaign development, applying the RZSS brand with great results.

Tackling a revitalisation of our established charity and visitor attraction brand was made easy by working with Flock. Sophie understood our vast requirements to find a new look and feel that would serve the varied and extensive needs of our organisation. Sophie worked on a comprehensive suite of flexible assets that allow us to advertise through traditional channels to families looking for a wild day out whilst also allowing us to communicate our science and conservation projects to academics and funders alike.
