Making the complex simple

BACKGROUND

CryoArks is a UK network of zoological biobanks that maintain frozen collections of animal genetic material to be used responsibly and sustainably in a wide range of applications that will further research knowledge and contribute to species conservation.

OBJECTIVE

Create a short film explaining what a zoological biobank is, what it contains, and how researchers can use the samples to answer a wide range of questions and help conservation.

WHAT WE DID

After some collaborative storyboarding, we pieced the film together from existing assets, weaving together footage and stills to create a cohesive and clear narrative. The freezer was digitally created from scratch and acts as a way to divide the content into easy to understand sections.
